Golf Cart Maintenance Tips

It is no secret that the E-Z-GO golf cart is one of the most popular sporting vehicles in use today. Millions of these vehicles have been produced and sold, and many sold years ago are still in use today. With a little simple maintenance, you can extend the life your E-Z-GO golf cart and you, too, can enjoy your vehicle for years to come.

It’s all in the book. This may sound like common sense, but the best maintenance advice you will ever get concerning your E-Z-GO golf cart is written right inside your owner’s manual. Look at this way. The manufacturer spent a lot of time and money designing and testing your vehicle. No one knows more about your particular model than the manufacturer. As part of their commitment to customer service, they drew up the owner’s manual, showing owners exactly what needed to be done to the vehicle and when. Following the manual should be your very first step in maintenance, and the sooner you get about doing it the better.

If for some reason you do not have an owner’s manual, go here and download a PDF version for your cart. If you can’t find it here, call them, they are usually happy to provide this. If they are out of stock for your model give us a call and we will help you.

Keep it clean. One of the easiest tips is also one of the most overlooked. You simply have to wash your E-Z-GO golf cart every now and then, and this must include the undercarriage and the suspension system. When was the last time you took a look at the underside of your vehicle? If you normally operate your vehicle on muddy fairways or on courses that have steep inclines, you might be amazed at what you find stuck to the bottom of your vehicle. Make sure that you also wash behind each tire and wheel as this is often a collection point for all sorts of things. Keeping the body and interior of your prized E-Z-GO golf cart clean will also help to prolong the life of the paint job and it just looks better.

Battery maintenance is a key element to reliable use of your E-Z-GO golf cart. There is no other way to say it. You have to maintain your batteries and the battery box if you want your vehicle to perform as it should and last as long as possible. Because batteries differ from one manufacturer to another, it is vital that you follow the instructions that came with your batteries. While performing your battery maintenance take the time to inspect the cables and the hook ups. If you have power points located inside your E-Z-GO golf cart cab, try to follow the lines through to ensure that no cracks or frays are present. This can lead to a fire hazard and it is always a good idea to check these lines periodically.

For those who own a gasoline engine, follow all of the maintenance tips in the owner’s guide. There are several things you have to do and doing them is key to long life. If you are unable to do any of the E-Z-GO golf cart maintenance work contact, give us a call and we can do it for you.

Testimonials

Wanted to let you know I just bought an EZGO from Action Golf Cart, 480-649-5529. They were much nicer and easier to work with than A-1. Without any bargaining they beat the A-1 price by over $1,000. GREAT PLACE!
